Taylor Bradley Prazynski joined the marines not long after graduating from Fairfield Highschool in 2003. It was apparent from an early age that Taylor was destined to be in the armed forces as one of his favorite places to be was the local Army Surplus store. It was there that he purchased what was probably one of his most favorite childhood outfits, his own camouflage uniform.
In high school, Taylor did volunteer work to help special-needs students including helping another Fairfield High graduate to walk. He played football and ran track for FHS as well, where his teammates and coaches described him as an ideal team player.
Taylor joined the Marines because he wanted to make a difference. He knew the people of Iraq needed his help as a marine, and so without question, headed there to lend a helping hand to the mission of bringing peace to them.
On May 9th, 2005, Taylor was killed while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Karmah, Iraq. He will be remembered as a hero by all his family and friends for his deeds in life.
